Bhaskaranand Jha Bhaskar *

Abstract

The article explores the philosophical, spiritual, and mystical dimensions of life as reflected in C. L. Khatri's poetry collection For You to Decide. It examines how the poet blends reflections on physics and metaphysics to awaken human consciousness and guide readers toward self-realization, endurance, and moral awakening. The study analyzes major themes such as life and death, body and soul, God and religiosity, nature, love, ecological concern, social injustice, marginalization, contemporary national and global issues, and the impact of science and technology. It also highlights Khatri's use of symbolism, metaphors, irony, vedantic philosophy, epigrammatic expressions, and poetic devices, presenting him as a significant contemporary Indian English poet whose work inspires ethical reflection, spiritual growth, and humanitarian values.
