This article examines the deep, complex, and unconventional relationship between the dizygotic twins Rahel and Estha in Arundhati Roy's The God of Small Things. It explores how the twins share an intense emotional and psychological bond that transcends typical sibling relationships, resulting in identity fusion, shared trauma, and eventual forbidden intimacy. The study highlights themes of love, separation, suffering, memory, familial dysfunction, patriarchy, caste oppression, social prejudice, and the breaking of societal ?laws of love? by both Ammu and her children. Through detailed textual references, the article reveals how the twins' inseparable identities shape their experiences, pain, and ultimate reunion.
