The paper examines Anita Nair's Ladies Coupe as a gynocentric narrative focusing on women's self-discovery, identity, and emancipation. Through the protagonist Akhilandeshwari and five other women travelers, the novel critiques patriarchal structures, gender discrimination, emotional suppression, marital domination, child abuse, and societal expectations. Their stories collectively highlight the struggles and resilience of Indian women striving for independence and self-definition. The narrative ultimately asserts that women can construct their identity not by isolation but by asserting autonomy within society.
